Prof. Dr. F. Rengin ÜNVER completed her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Architecture, Istanbul Technical University, and her master's studies in the Department of Physical Environment Control and Audit at the same faculty. Subsequently, she pursued her doctoral education and academic career in the Department of Building Physics at the Faculty of Architecture, Yıldız Technical University.
F. R. ÜNVER has conducted numerous international and national publications, research projects, conferences, seminars, and postgraduate theses in the field of Building Physics, primarily focusing on subjects such as "Architectural Lighting" and "Architectural Color," encompassing topics like light, color, heat, sound, etc. They have also been involved in organizing and serving on the scientific committees of many congresses.
F. R. ÜNVER, who has served in various administrative positions such as the Department Chairmanship of Architecture, Head of the EU Office, Erasmus Coordinator, etc. at Yıldız Technical University, also holds several memberships including the Management Board of the Architecture Accreditation Board (MİAK) and the Honorary Membership of Lighting Equipment Manufacturers Association (AGİD).
As one of the founding members of the Turkish National Committee on Illumination (ATMK), F. R. ÜNVER has held different roles within the committee, including the Presidency and Treasurer, currently serving as the President of the 10th Term Board of Directors of ATMK.
Since 1998, F. R. ÜNVER has been contributing to the "1st Division - Vision and Color" of the International Commission on Illumination (Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage, CIE) and has been involved in working groups of the International Colour Association (Association Internationale de la Couleur, AIC).
